Damages and loses to cargo

During the surveyor’s work, we keep our clients up to date on everything that’s going on by sending and checking all tally and survey reports and giving them our advice as needed.

We do everything we can to protect our clients and their members from cargo claims. We do this by either recommending and setting up the best safety measures (draft surveys, loading surveys/tallies, discharge surveys/tallies, and preliminary hatch opening reports) or by hiring qualified and affordable surveyors to find out what caused the damage and how bad it is and/or attending court survey meetings.

Clinton Consultancy’s staff keep an eye on the work of the surveyors they hire, making sure they get clear and relevant directions, follow them, and make sure their reports are always on time and correct. When they arrive in a town in West Africa, surveyors are shown around the ship and introduced to the Master, who tells them about the local laws and ways of doing things at sea.

When we can, we like to follow the whole journey of a ship unloading dry goods in West African ports. Our large network of offices makes this possible, so we can help the ship in more ways and protect our members as much as possible from problems like customs fines or cargo claims.
